Booking.com has recently introduced a new feature that sends the Virtual Credit Card amount for bookings with VCC.
Initially, Booking.com sends bookings without the VCC amount, and after some time, the channel sends the VCC amount in a separate request.
When we receive the VCC amount - we store it and convert the booking to MODIFIED status on STAAH.
How do we know if the modification is due to VCC amount?
Team has implemented the necessary changes as under, which will apply to bookings that have arrived after the changes went LIVE yesterday – 25th Jun’24
1. Added a comment under Additional Info field indicating that the modification is due to a VCC balance change. Please note the Additional Info field contents will be visible only after entering the Access Key
2. Updated the logic to ignore VCC balance change notifications, if the same VCC balance is received in the request.
Note: Our team contacted Booking.com regarding the multiple modifications that we are receiving for some bookings. In some cases, we have received over 90 VCC change notifications with the same VCC balance. Booking.com has confirmed that it is a known bug and they are working on it.
