An Air New Zealand loyalty programme. Members can earn Airpoints dollars and then spend it on things such as flights, rental cars.
Airpoints members can now book direct to accumulate points, they no longer need to book with third party sites to do this. If you are an Airpoints partner, please contact your designated partner services team member to enable feature.
Setup in extranet:
Setup is found within the Booking Engine menu module > Loyalty Rewards
Simply complete all fields to setup:
• API Key - obtain from Airpoints
• Point Code - obtain from Airpoints
• Maximum Accrue amount - are used to ensure the Airpoints are within the permissible range.
• Minimum Accrue amount – are used to ensure the Airpoints are within the permissible range.
• Spend amount – set value for amount spend to accumulate 1 Airpoints dollar (e.g. $50 spend will collect 1 Airpoints dollar)
Once details are added, a field on the Booking engine to is automatically available for guests to submit Airpoints member details. Access key is required to view/access setup info.
Booking engine display:
The Airpoints field is displayed in the contact details section (page 2). Guests simply enable toggle to add Airpoints details.
• Once selected details are mandatory.
• Guests will need to add details to proceed with booking
• Guest details are verified with the Airpoints number.
• Validation in place to ensure guest membership details
Once the booking is confirmed, information is visible within the extranet and the confirmation email.
Confirmation email (included in email sent to property and guest) below the booking value.
Extranet Within the extranet you can identify bookings containing Airpoints details, view guests Airpoints details and allocate members Airpoints. Use access key to view Airpoints details and allocate Airpoints.
List view: Bookings containing Airpoints details are indicated with icon. Depending on booking status, the icon colour varies
• Green - Booker has checked out and points allocated
• Yellow – Booker has checked out and ready to allocate points.
• Grey – Booking is awaiting check out date, cannot proceed to allocate points
• Red – Booker has checked out but there was an error when approving/allocating booking
Redemption visible post checkout. To allocate Airpoints to booking, simply select the ‘Approve’ button.
Filter search option available, allows you to view all bookings made with Loyalty
