STAAH MAX - How to manage Variable Pricing (Packages)?
Variable pricing is a feature that enables property to apply a rate calculation (Multiplier/Formula) to a specific day(s) of the week.
This is setup up per Package, and is done at a Room Level – enabling you to add a different formula for each room.
Why would I use Variable Pricing?
This allows property to add rate mark up/down for a particular day of the week, without having to set multiple validity dates.
Example: Breakfast package is available for all days throughout the week. For bookings intended to stay during the weekend, there will be an additional surcharge of $20NZD. You can add the additional surcharge in variable pricing for weekend days – which will be additional to package rates/calculations.
Where do I find this feature/how do I enable?
- Log into MAX extranet>Booking Engine>Packages>Edit for the applicable package>Room Types.
- Select the Calculator Icon for the applicable Room Type. You will then see a pop-up box to enter Rate Calculations as required.
- Once you have entered calculations>close pop>save.
- If Variable Pricing is in place, the Calculator will be highlighted Orange
