STAAH Max V2 - What is a Combo Room?
A Combo Room is a virtual room type that combines multiple physical room types into a single bookable unit for channel distribution. It's not an actual room, but rather a smart grouping system that simplifies how properties present their inventory to online travel agencies (OTAs) and other booking channels.
Why Use Combo Rooms?
Instead of listing every individual room variant separately on booking channels (which can overwhelm guests and complicate management), properties can group similar rooms together under one "combo room" listing.
How It Benefits Properties:
- Simplified Management: Manage one room type on channels instead of multiple variants
- Better Guest Experience: Less overwhelming choice for guests
How to set up?
Navigation Path: Room Type > + Combo Room > 2 Step Setup
Setup Process:
Step 1:
- Add combo name
- Select the room types to include in the combo cluster
Step 2:
Select the default room type: The applicable rate for the combo room will be based on the rate loaded for the default room.
Select Room for Single Occupancy: Single occupancy booking will be automatically assigned to this pre-selected room type
Key Notes:
Inventory Management: Combo room inventory = combined availability across all clustered room types.
Rate Strategy: Combo room displays the rate from the designated default room type.
Automatic Room Allocation:
- Single occupancy bookings: Automatically assigned to the pre-selected default single occupancy room type from setup
- Multi-occupancy bookings: The System allocates the lowest-rate room type within the cluster
