STAAH Max Booking Engine V2 - What are Addons? How Are they Used?

This feature is available for properties subscribed to STAAH MAX Booking Engine.
This tool enables a property to upsell Add-ons/Extras available for a specific package.

Where do I find this feature/how do I enable?
  1. Log into MAX extranet>Booking Engine>Add-ons.


How to create new Add-ons:

  1. To create new Add-ons, first we need to click on the add + button.



  1. Enter the details of the Add-on. 


  1. You also have the option to make mandatory if its a mandatory add-on and also to exclude it from specific packages. Once all confirmed save the add-on
Types of Add-ons:

There are 3 types of Add-ons


  1. Recurring
  2. One-Off
  3. Activity
Recurring: This Type of Add-On will be added for all dates of the guest's stay period.
For example -Dinner Add-on
Guest has booked a room for 2 Adults and 1 Child for 2 nights.
In this case the add-on will be calculated as 20x2 for the adults and 7x2 for the child


One-Off: This Type of Add-On is One time charge for the guests.
For example - Airport Transfers - Here the guest pays for the Airport Transfer only once while making the booking or Per Guest if the transfer is shared .

The rate displayed on the booking engine does not flex based on the number of guests searched.

The package rate is calculated based on:
Room rate + whatever is setup in the 'addons'

Below example:
If the package rate is $100, the system will calculate 'addons' as 2x20 and 1x15 = 55
Package rate displayed on BE will be 100+55 = 155



Activity: This Type of Add-On is One time charge for the guests.
For example - If the property offers a Wine tasting tour, they can list it as a one time activity here. The guest only pays for it once while making the booking or it can also be charged per guest depending on the property. 

As per Activity add-on logic on BE - when we select variable pricing on particular days, it doesn't mean add-on is invalid for days which are not selected. Instead, it considers the different value for the selected days, and default value (Example: https://prnt.sc/RQ80-MfyLxE4 ) for un-selected days.
