STAAH MAX - How to manage OTA promotions for MG Jarvis

OTA promotion feature allows a property to set up promotions on MG Jarvis via MAX extranet. 

This feature supports creating NEW promotions created in MAX extranet.


Where is this found?
  1. Login to MAX Extranet > Setup > Channels > OTA promotion


Create a NEW promotion. 

1. Click ‘Add Promotion’ button. 


2. Add promotion name > select ‘Channel’ > promotion type > Channel ID. 


 
The below booking.com promotions are supported, each with their set requirements.
  1. Basic
  2. Early Booker
  3. Last Minute
  4. Free Night

3. Select the applicable Room/Rate plan combination that will be part of the promotion>Next. 
  1. Rooms/Rate plans displayed will be based on what is mapped to the Channel listing ID selected.
  2. One promotion supports one room/rate plan
 

BASIC  

Easy to use promotion that will give the guest a discount on selected rooms and rates. Follow prompts and complete as required


 
Promotion requirements 

  1. Minimum stay: Number of nights booker must stay to receive promotion
  2. Booking dates: Dates range the booker must book to receive a promotion
  3. Stay dates: Date range the booker must stay to receive discount
  4. Booking time: The option to set time frames for promotion is bookable (i.e 5 pm-7 pm)
  5. Custom days: Ability to apply the promotion to custom days of the week, default is All days.
 



  1. Discount amount: Fixed and percentage, add discount amount.
  2. Blackout dates: select dates that discount will not apply (optional)
  3. Cancellation policy
  4. Click on SAVE to create a promotion: When the promotion is successfully created and submitted to MG Jarvis, a success message is returned.


Early Booker Discount to early bookers. Follow prompts and complete as required


 
Promotion requirements

  3. Stay dates: Date range the booker must stay to receive discount

Last Minute  Promotion that is booked within a short time before check-in

  2. Last minute days: Number of days guest must book before check-in to receive promotion
  3. Booking dates: Dates range the booker must book to receive promotion
  4. Stay dates: Date range the booker must stay to receive discount
  5. Option to set time frames promotion is bookable (i.e 5pm-7pm)
  6. Custom days: Ability to apply promotion to custom days of the week, default is All days.

Free Night  Promotion that offers free night. Follow prompts as required


 
Promotion requirements
  1. Booking dates: Dates range the booker must book to receive promotion
  2. Stay dates: Date range the booker must stay to receive discount
  3. Option to set time frames promotion is bookable (i.e 5pm-7pm)
  4. Custom days: Ability to apply promotion to custom days of the week, default is All days.
  5. Free Nights: Number of nights booker will stay for free
  6. Stay Nights: Number of nights booker must stay to receive free night
  7. Extra bed and meal – enable flag to include for free nights
  8. Recurring - Free night to reoccur as long as minimum night restriction is met
  9. Cancellation policy
  10. Click on SAVE to create promotion: When promotion is successfully created and submitted to MG Jarvis, success message is returned.

  1. All promotions are listed on OTA Promotion Page
  2. Search option to view promotions (based on promotion name).
  3. Option to ‘Edit’ live promotion
  4. Option to ‘Delete’ promotion 
  5. View summary of promotion using the VIEW option.
