Opportunities

This module provides a platform for OTA partners to highlight business opportunities that can help a property improve their performance or guests experience. Data is retrieved from OTA via an API (Provided by OTA).


OTA supported: Booking.com

What does the connection do?
  1. Allows channel manager to retrieve a list of available opportunities for a specific property
  2. Allows you to action on an opportunity, enable, disable or dismiss the opportunity via channel manager

How does it work?

Booking.com tailors opportunities specifically for a property. The API allows STAAH to retrieve data and provide an option for property to action them quickly in a few simple clicks/ steps via channel manager extranet.

Example:




‘Take Me There’ Button
  1. If it is something you can action/ setup via channel manager, on clicking button you will be diverted to module in channel manager. Example creating a business rate via OTA Promotions module.
  2. If it is something that you need to action via extranet, you will be diverted to booking.com login page


‘Maybe Later’ Button
  1. You are not interested in the opportunity
  2. Click on button to remove from list




Toggle 

  • Enable toggle to participate

  1. Click on button, calendar will popup displaying HDD date(s). HDD will be highlighted in red

  1. Click on date and you will be diverted to rates module page
  2. From the Opportunities Module, a fresh call is made each time the page is accessed

  1. HDD is highlighted in Availability and Rates Module calendar grid
  2. Date is highlighted at property level
  3. Date is highlighted with HD
  4. HD = High Demand
  5. A call is made to pull HDD opportunity when the home landing page (where there is a calendar) is accessed
  6. Data is pulled once a day (Every 24 hours)


The next time the page is accessed and if after 24 hours, we will make a call to retrieve latest
