STAAH MAX - What is Minimum and Maximum Stay on Arrival & Minimum and Maximum Stay Through?

This feature allows you to set restrictions by specifying a minimum and maximum number of nights that may be booked for a specific rate/ deal.

Minimum and Maximum Stay on Arrival:

When do I use this feature?

Min/ Max Stay on Arrival: The restriction applies to reservations checking in on the on the day of arrival.

How to set up?

Property can load via Base Rates, Mapping and Packages modules.

Base Rates:

1. Login to MAX extranet > Availability & Rates
2. Control options > Min Stay Arrival/Max Stay Arrival



3. A row of boxes will appear below rates
4. Value in field is the value set for Min Stay Arrival/Max Stay Arrival. This field is editable. 
5. Simply enter value > click Update.

Mapping:

1. Click Mapping
2. Select Channel from drop down box.
3. Click on ‘Edit’ for applicable rate plan > apply restriction value > Save

If maximum stay restriction is not set, 28 will apply by default for Expedia and 99 for other channels.




4. Property can manually override restriction for specific date range/channel.
a. Channel rates module
b. Select channel from the drop-down box.
c. Select Control options > Min Stay Arrival/Max Stay Arrival
e. Simply enter new value > click Update.



Packages:

1. Click Packages > Validity for applicable package.
2. Enter restriction value > Save.



 To apply different maximum stay for set date range, add additional validity period and apply restriction.


Minimum and Maximum Stay Through:

Min/ Max Stay Through: The restriction applies to reservations that are booked across the days.


Example:

Min stay restriction is set at 3 for 15 December. A guest wants to book 2 nights arriving on 14 December.

If the restriction is based on arrival, the guest can proceed to book as the condition is only applicable for guest checking in on 15 December.

If the restriction is based on through, the guest cannot book. As the stay date includes 15 December, the restriction will apply.



How to set up?

Property can load via Base Rates.

1.  Login to MAX extranet > Availability & Rates
2.  Control options > Min Stay Through/Max Stay Through



3.  A row of boxes will appear below rates
4.  Value in field is the value set for Min Stay Through/Max Stay Through. This field is editable. 
5.  Simply enter value > click Update.


IMPORTANT Information:

1. Restrictions can be managed via 'Control Options'.

2. Currently min/ max stay through is only supported by Booking.com.

3. At channel level, restrictions are only visible for Booking.com.

4. Property can only manage new restrictions via extranet.

5. If any connected PMS would like to manage restrictions, we need to provide them with a new tag to implement. Please contact the PMS team.

6. Our team will systematically check and add channels that can support min/ max stay through. This includes Max BE, FTE and SwiftBook.

7. New restrictions is available via: Availability and Rates Module, Booking.com Channel Rate Module, Bulk Update


FYI ONLY ** PLEASE NOTE THE BELOW **

  1. Previously we were passing minimum stay through to booking.com. Booking.com was the only channel that we were passing as 'Through'.
  2. To implement both types - Arrival and Through, we have to standardise the flow. We have moved all booking.com updates to ARRIVAL type and flushed data pushed for 'THROUGH'. This applies to all products.
