STAAH is pleased to announce we have added another discount type which can be managed via OTA promotion module. This means, you can now manage mobile rates on booking.com via Instant extranet.

How mobile rates work on Booking.com?

• Mobile rates are only visible to guests using the Booking.com app or mobile browsers.

• A minimum discount of at least 10% 

• Mobile rates apply to all your rooms and rate plans. The discount stacks on top of Genius discounts as well as any other promotions you’ve set up. However, it doesn’t get added to Country Rates or Deal of the Day.

• You can pick 30 days each calendar year to deactivate mobile rates.

• All STAAH Instant subscriber with connection to booking.com enabled 

• No additional cost to enjoy this feature

Where is the feature found?

• Login to Instant Extranet > Instant Module > OTA Promotion

How to create a Mobile Rate Discount?

• OTA Promotion Module > click on’ Add Promotion’ button

• Add promotion name > select promotion type > click on ‘Next’ button

• Select channel 

• Currently this feature only supports booking.com 

• Who will see this promotion? Click on arrow > Select User

• We recommend to offer discount to both App and Mobile Web users. Not all bookers have downloaded app. This is to ensure you reach a wider audience

• Set discount > enter applicable discount % 

• Must be at least 10% discount

• Special note: Mobile rates apply to all your rooms and rate plans. The discount stacks on top of Genius discounts as well as any other promotions you have set up. However, it doesn’t get added to Geo (Country) Rates or Deal of the Day

• If required, you can set blackout dates, meaning sensitive dates that you may not want to offer any discount

• You can pick 30 days each calendar year to deactivate mobile rates

Save and all done! 

A success message will be returned to confirm Mobile Rates setup correctly – example below:

On OTA promotion details page: 

View > To see discount details

Edit > You are only allowed to change discount value and add or remove blackout dates

Delete > This action will delete the Mobile Rate discount

Logs
